DGRW Factset Analytics Insight
DGRW is a dividend play with a twist: It focuses on potential for dividend growth as opposed to backward-looking dividend increases. It does this by mixing forward-looking earnings estimates with historical ROA and ROE growth in its selection process. The goal is to increase coverage of firms who will be larger players in the dividend market moving forward. The resulting portfolio skews toward larger firms with an accompanying lower beta, and toward consumer and industrial stocks. The fund's portfolio yield edges our benchmark, but sister fund DTD delivers more. DGRW trades well, with small spreads for retail investors and excellent underlying liquidity for larger investors. Its expense ratio is in line with other dividend-seeking funds, and tracking is in line with its fee.
