EWN FactSet Analytics Insight
EWN doesn't offer anything fancy, just
“captures the Dutch space well” solid, neutral exposure to the Dutch market. That means a top-heavy, mostly large-cap portfolio portfolio with a major position in the country's dominant firm, Unilever, and therefore big exposure to consumer staples. EWN's other big sector is financials, as giant ING takes another of the fund's top-spots. Overall, EWN holds a predominantly large- and midcap portfolio that captures the Dutch space well. The fund boasts liquidity in spades, with strong daily volume and tight spreads, and the underlying securities are liquid enough that multiple creations/redemptions per day should be possible for larger investors without moving underlying prices. EWN is slightly pricey, but tight tracking and securities lending revenue should keep holding costs below the listed expense ratio.
