ITB Factset Analytics Insight
ITB provides investors with a traditional market-cap selection and weighting approach to the US homebuilding industry. The resulting basket of stocks isn't quite vanilla though: ITB trades purity for breadth. Its holdings extend past the confines of our narrow benchmark and into related industries. At times this shows up as a lower beta play on the space. Still, ITB's portfolio offers chunky positions in leading homebuilders.
ITB typically costs a bit more to hold than its archrival XHB. However, the fund can boast of a huge asset base with strong liquidity. Reasonable all-in costs and concentrated stakes in leading homebuilders earn Analyst Pick for ITB.
