IWF Fund Description

The iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF tracks an index of US large- and midcap stocks selected from the Russell 1000 Index with the highest growth characteristics, based on Russell's style methodology.

IWF Factset Analytics Insight

IWF is one of the most popular US large-cap growth ETFs, with massive assets and volume and a long track record. While it isn't the cheapest option in the segment, all in costs are still low considering its reasonable fee, solid tracking and mighty liquidity. IWF holds stocks selected from the popular Russell 1000 Index, based on three fundamental factors: book-to-price, medium-term growth forecasts, and sales per share growth. Like our benchmark, the fund's top holdings are mostly packed with tech giants. While IWF is considered a large-cap fund, a sizable portion of the portfolio is allocated to midcaps due to its expansive Russell 1000 parent. Vanguard’s VONG tracks the same index with lower holding costs but far less trading volume.

IWF MSCI ESG Analytics Insight

IWF ranks in the 89th percentile within its peer group and in the 53th percentile within the global universe of all funds in MSCI ESG Fund Metrics coverage.
