IWF Factset Analytics Insight
IWF is one of the most popular US large-cap growth ETFs, with massive assets and volume and a long track record. While it isn't the cheapest option in the segment, all in costs are still low considering its reasonable fee, solid tracking and mighty liquidity. IWF holds stocks selected from the popular Russell 1000 Index, based on three fundamental factors: book-to-price, medium-term growth forecasts, and sales per share growth. Like our benchmark, the fund's top holdings are mostly packed with tech giants. While IWF is considered a large-cap fund, a sizable portion of the portfolio is allocated to midcaps due to its expansive Russell 1000 parent. Vanguard’s VONG tracks the same index with lower holding costs but far less trading volume.
