The fund’s fee isprovides ample liquidity expensive in the broad landscape of ETFs, but decent when compared with most inverse and levered funds. However, UYG is designed to be a long-term investment vehicle. The fund rebalances daily. As a result, compounding and path dependency make its long-term returns difficult to predict when compared with its underlying index. Despite this, UYG’s massive asset base is indicative of strong investor interest, while its strong trading volume and tight bid/ask spreads provide ample liquidity for small and large investors alike.
