VOE Factset Analytics Insight
Investors looking for inexpensive, broad exposure to mid-cap value should consider VOE. For a lean fee, the fund does a great job of capturing the broad mid-cap value market. VOE doesn't stray into small-caps as many peers do, although it does emphasize different sectors than our MSCI benchmark. The fund's liquidity is among the best in its segment, but frequent traders can do better. Index tracking is excellent as well. In all, there's not much to find fault with here, although value die-hards may prefer style-pure options. As with all Vanguard ETFs, transparency is a slight concern—holdings are only disclosed monthly, with a lag. VOE makes the Opportunities List based on its strong liquidity and huge asset base.
