The Russell 2000 Index measures the performance of Small Cap securities and is selected by a Market Cap process. Currently, 10 ETFs track the Russell 2000 Index with more than $46.2 B in ETP assets with an average expense ratio of 0.80%. The largest ETF is iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) by iShares with $42.92 B in assets.


In the last 12 months, the best performing Russell 2000 Index ETF was the ProShares UltraPro Russell2000 (URTY) at 37.14%. The most-recent ETF launched by Russell 2000 Index was the Direxion Daily Small Cap Bull 2X Shares ETF (SMLL) in July 2014.
