Rolf Agather Rolf Agather is managing director of research and innovation for Russell Investments' family of global indexes. He is responsible for leading a global team in the creation of new index concepts and publishing compelling research on capital markets, indexation and investment management. After working at Russell from 1986-1995, Agather rejoined the company in 2004 from FactSet Research Systems as director of research and development in Russell's investment group.

Noël Amenc Noël Amenc is professor of finance at Edhec Business School, where he heads the Edhec-Risk Institute; he is also CEO of ERI Scientific Beta. He has a master's degree in economics and a Ph.D. in finance, and has conducted research in various financial fields, publishing numerous articles and books. Amenc is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Portfolio Management, associate editor of the Journal of Alternative Investments, and member of the advisory board of the Journal of Index Investing.

Marc Barrachin Marc Barrachin is managing director at Markit. He joined Markit in March 2008 and currently leads research and product development for the global index business, leading recent product launches, and responses to regulatory initiatives. He was previously heading the CDS business involving spear heading industry initiatives, managing credit event auctions, and launching liquidity metrics. Before joining Markit, Marc held various positions at Bear Stearns and Interactive Data. Marc earned a Bachelor in Finance from Northeastern University and a Masters in Finance from Boston College. Marc also holds the CFA designation.

David Blitzer David Blitzer is managing director and chairman of S&P Dow Jones Indices' index committee. He has overall responsibility for security selection for the company's indexes, as well as index analysis and management. Blitzer previously served as chief economist for Standard & Poor's and as corporate economist at The McGraw-Hill Companies. A graduate of Cornell University, he received his M.A. in economics from George Washington University and his Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University.

Felix Goltz Felix Goltz is head of applied research at EDHEC-Risk Institute, and research director at ERI Scientific Beta. He conducts research in empirical finance, asset allocation and performance analysis, with a focus on indexing strategies. Goltz's research has been published in international academic and practitioner journals and handbooks. He obtained a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis after studying economics and business administration at the University of Bayreuth and EDHEC Business School.

P. Brett Hammond P. Brett Hammond is a managing director and the head of index applied research at MSCI. He is responsible for defining and executing MSCI's applied research agenda to support the MSCI index business. Hammond also directs research and thought leadership on the roles of active and passive investing. Prior to joining MSCI, he was chief investment strategist at TIAA-CREF. Elisabeth Kashner, CFA Elisabeth Kashner, CFA, is ETF.com's director of research. With her M.S. in financial analysis, Kashner brings a combination of academic rigor and practical experience to ETF.com's research efforts. She is the firm's thought leader across all lines of business and is responsible for the methodology of the firm's analytics and the academic integrity of the content produced by the firm. Kashner gained experience with ETF analysis as a quantitative analyst building portfolios for high net worth clients.

Craig Lazzarra Craig Lazzarra is global head of index investment strategy for S&P Dow Jones Indices, where he and his team provide research and commentary on the entire S&P Dow Jones Indices' product set, including U.S. and global equities, commodities, fixed income, and economic indexes. He previously served as product manager for S&P Indices' U.S. equity and real estate indexes. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Craig is a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Business School.

Shane Shepherd Shane Shepherd is senior vice president and head of fixed-income research at Research Affiliates. He focuses on research into the company's alternative bond approach. In addition, Shepherd conducts quantitative research used to strengthen and expand the Research Affiliates Fundamental Index concept and to support the global tactical asset allocation model. He earned his B.S. in political science and philosophy from Duke University and his Ph.D. in finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Luciano Siracusano Luciano Siracusano is WisdomTree's chief investment strategist and head of sales. He is the co-creator of WisdomTree's patented indexing methodology and has led the firm's sales force since 2008. Siracusano is a regular guest on CNBC and FOX Business. A former equity analyst at Value Line, he began his career as a speechwriter for former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros. Siracusano graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in political science in 1987.

Daniel Ung Daniel Ung works in the index research & design group at S&P Dow Jones Indices and is responsible for conducting research and developing index products across all asset classes. Prior to this, Daniel was at the Structured Products Group within Barclays Wealth and Investment Management and in the Commodities Investor Derivatives Group at BNP Paribas Fortis Bank. He holds a master's degree from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP Europe) and is a CFA, CAIA and FRM charterholder.

Christopher Woods Christopher Woods is a managing director of governance, risk and compliance at FTSE International. He is responsible for ensuring that the methodologies and processes underpinning FTSE's products meet industry best practice, and specifically that FTSE indexes will be in compliance with the principles for financial benchmarks published by IOSCO in July 2013 and the European Commission's proposed regulation of benchmarks published in September 2013. He has an MA in Physics from Cambridge University and a D. Phil from Oxford University.
