DRW Factset Analytics Insight
DRW is a dividend-focused ex-U.S. real estate ETF. The goal of the ETF is to maximize dividend yield by selecting and weighting holdings according to balance sheet metrics. WisdomTree's strategy—which it employs across many ETFs—makes a lot of sense in real estate. People often turn to real estate for yield, and DRW attempts to maximize exactly that. Of course, the dividend-centric thesis means DRW doesn't reflect the broader market: The fund heavily allocates to Hong Kong and Australia. Sector allocations also skew heavier into commercial REITs, but the fund is still primarily real estate development and operations firms. At 0.58%, DRW doesn't come cheap, but it does provide a unique strategy in the segment. For income-focused investors looking to global ex-US real estate, DRW is a great fund.
