ETFMG Prime Cyber Security ETFHACK Fund Description
HACK tracks a tiered, equal-weighted index that targets companies actively involved in providing cybersecurity technology and services.
HACK Factset Analytics Insight
HACK is the first ETF on the market that focuses on cybersecurity. The fund splits the industry into 2 segments: developers of cybersecurity hardware or software and providers of cybersecurity services. HACK selects stocks by market cap and uses a modified equal-weighting scheme. Each of the fund’s segments is weighted proportionally by its respective market cap in comparison with the cumulative market cap of both segments. After evenly weighting components within each of these segments, adjustments are made for liquidity. HACK has a unique, cybersecurity-focused take on the technology sector that gives it a small-cap tilt, with concentrations in software and IT services that are not present in a plain-vanilla fund. The index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly. On June 30, 2020, the fund announced a potential reorganization which would result in a change of fund managers to Exchange Traded Concepts. The acquisition is pending subject to shareholder approval.
