WisdomTree launched a new dividend-weighted emerging markets ETF on
July 13 that boasts an eye-popping 6.47 percent index yield. The Wisdom
Tree Emerging Markets High-Yielding Equity Fund (NYSE: DEM) debuted on
the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). On a backtested basis, it has a
generally positive record against the benchmark MSCI Emerging Markets
Index, although it lags on a 5-year basis.

Van Eck Global, the ETF newcomer with a penchant for filling holes in the ETF universe, has a couple of novel ETFs up its sleeve. Its nuclear ETF (AMEX: NLR), which began trading mid-August, is a groundbreaker. There are no other ETFs like it—at least so far—and Van Eck is expecting NLR to attract lots of interest.
