The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), International Securities Exchange (ISE) and the NYSE’s Arca unit (NYSE Arca) all launched “quarterly” options contracts on five of the most popular ETFs: the Diamond Trust (AMEX: DIA), Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (AMEX: XLE), iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (NYSE: IWM), Nasdaq 100 Trust (NDAQ: QQQQ) and Standard & Poor’s Depository Receipts (AMEX: SPY).
