FTSE ETFs Remain Investors Choice For 2nd Month Running

FTSE 100 and 250 exchange traded funds remained the top pick for investors in July as the indexes continued to perform strongly, keeping investors interest on the UK locked in for the second consecutive month.
According to Barclays Stockbrokers data, the iShares FTSE 100 ETF remained the top choice for investors in July with UK focused ETFs making up 60 percent of the top 10 purchased ETFs.

Warburg Pincus Buys Stake In Source

In January, European exchange-traded product firm Source ETP gave up a majority stake in its business to global private equity firm Warburg Pincus as it looks to become a top-tier ETF provider.

The move, which also sees ETF guru Lee Kranefuss taking up the role of executive chairman, is expected to provide Source with the resources to develop and launch new products, and enhance existing products.

CBOE Volumes Strong In 2013

CBOE Holdings announced its year-end results in a January press release. Its options exchanges, the Chicago Board Options Exchange and the C2 Options Exchange, saw an average daily volume in options contracts of 4.71 million, up 4 percent from the prior year.
