Michael Hodel, CFA, is a technology strategist for Morningstar, responsible for telecommunications research. He serves as chair of Morningstar’s Economic Moat Committee, senior members of the equity research team responsible for reviewing Economic Moat and Moat Trend ratings issued by Morningstar. Hodel has a B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
