European ETF Trading Slows But Assets Keep Growing

European ETF trading slowed in October, with average daily trading volumes decreasing by 15 percent from a month earlier, according to data from specialist research firm ETFGI.

However, while trading has slowed, investors are continuing to put their money into the ETF market, with net inflows reaching US$3.8 billion in October, says ETFGI.

European exchange-traded fund provider Lyxor has switched index providers for its real estate ETFs.

The move will see Lyxor change the indices from MSCI and move to the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Developed Real Estate Indices, which track the performance of listed real estate companies and real estate investment trusts (“REITS”) worldwide.
