Lower WalMart Exposure With These Consumer ETFs

Investors seeking limited exposure to WalMart amid reports of bribery in the retailer’s Mexican operations and concerns over shrinking profit margins have options when it comes to getting exposure to consumer equities without owning the retail giant’s shares, according to an article published by Zacks.

These three retail-sector-focused ETFs have low levels of exposure to WalMart, while providing other benefits:

  • SPDR S&P Retail ETF (NYSEArca: XRT): 1.07 percent in WalMart
  • Guggenheim S&P Equal Weight Consumer Staples ETF (NYSEArca: RHS): 2.3 percent in WalMart
  • PowerShares Dynamic Consumer Staples Sector ETF (NYSEArca: PSL): 2.6 percent in WalMart
