Amid Closures, Some New ETFs Are Thriving

August 14, 2012

A slew of recent ETF closures from the likes of FocusShares over the past few days can lead one to think the ETF industry is in trouble, but the success of a number of new funds clearly shows this is hardly the case, according to an article on Benzinga.

While these new funds haven’t done as well as the Pimco Total Return ETF (NYSEArca: BOND), investors looking for new, interesting and so-far-successful funds may find promise in the following:

  • WisdomTree Emerging Markets Corporate Bond Fund (NasdaqGM: EMCB)
  • Market Vectors Preferred Securities ex-Financials ETF (NYSEArca: PFXF)
  • iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Minimum Volatility Index Fund (NYSEArca: EEMV)
  • SPDR Barclays Capital Short Term High Yield Bond ETF (NYSEArca: SJNK)
