Investors added $36.8 billion to U.S.-listed ETFs during the week ending Friday, April 24. Year-to-date inflows are now just shy of $600 billion, putting ETFs on pace for a record year in 2026.

As has been the case in recent weeks, U.S. equity ETFs pulled in the most cash, with $20.8 billion of inflows. International equity ETFs remained in strong demand, adding $10.6 billion, though that cooled off from their pace earlier this year. U.S. fixed income ETFs pulled in $6.3 billion, while leveraged ETFs shed $3.9 billion and commodity ETFs lost $2.9 billion.

In terms of individual ETFs, the [**Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO)**](/voo) topped the list with $6.3 billion. No surprise there.

But the [**ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK)**](/arkk) made a surprise appearance, with inflows of $1.2 billion. It’s hard to say whether this inflow will last. Over the past couple of years, ARKK has periodically had big inflows related to heartbeat trades or hedge funds making short-term bets, but those inflows have reversed pretty quickly.

The ETF is actually down 0.5% this year, sharply underperforming the broader market, suggesting that this may not be sustained demand.

Another interesting name in the top 10 was the [**iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT)**](/ibit), with inflows of $994 million. After falling into net outflow territory earlier this year, U.S.-listed crypto ETFs are back in the green in terms of flows, with $2.2 billion collectively year to date. IBIT is leading that with $3.3 billion of inflows so far this year.

Still, performance remains weak, with the ETF down 12.3% year to date.

The international stock ETF with the biggest inflows last week was the [**Vanguard FTSE Developed Markets ETF (VEA)**](/vea), with $1 billion. On the fixed income side, the leader was the [**Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corporate Bond ETF (VCIT)**](/vcit), with $910 million.

On the outflows side, the [**SPDR Gold Shares (GLD)**](/gld), [**iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM)**](/iwm) and [**Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares (SOXL)**](/soxl) led the list.

After a stellar 2025, gold prices have cooled off this year, though they remain up a solid 8.5% year to date. Meanwhile, small caps are outperforming this year, with a 12.8% gain for IWM versus 5% for the [**iShares Russell 1000 ETF (IWB)**](/iwb).

Finally, SOXL, which has more than tripled in less than a month, has gotten hit with outflows as traders take profits.
