This past week logged a bevy of launches, some of which were noteworthy, such as the first-ever pet care ETF. Below is a roundup of the key events in the ETF industry for the week of Nov. 5:

**ProShares Debuts First Pet Care ETF**  
 ProShares has rolled out an ETF that seeks to capitalize on the vast amounts of money people spend on their pets. The [ProShares Pet Care ETF (PAWZ)](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1174610/000119312518315740/d640408d497.htm) is a first-of-its kind fund that tracks a global index of companies primarily involved in providing pet-care-related products and services. PAWZ comes with an expense ratio of 0.50%. **Amplify Fund Avoids Steep Losses**  
 Amplify Investments debuted an ETF that looks to capture the performance of the S&amp;P 500 Index while avoiding steep downturns. The [Amplify BlackSwan Growth &amp; Treasury Core ETF (SWAN)](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1633061/000139834418015756/fp0036858_485bpos.htm) invests primarily in long-dated call options, otherwise known as LEAPS, on the [SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (SPY)](https://www.etf.com/spy) and in Treasury securities. **First Trust Rolls Out Int’l Internet ETF**  
 First Trust launched a sequel to its blockbuster $7.7 billion [First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index Fund (FDN)](https://www.etf.com/fdn). The new [First Trust Dow Jones International Internet ETF (FDNI)](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1364608/000144554618004801/etf2_485b.htm) tracks an index that includes 40 non-U.S. companies engaged primarily in internet commerce or the provision of internet services. **Newcomer TigerShares Enters Market**  
 A new issuer burst onto the ETF scene this week with an unusual product. The [TigerShares China-U.S. Internet Titans ETF (TTTN)](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1743019/000139834418015550/fp0036795_497.htm) covers the 10 largest internet companies in China and in the U.S., for a total portfolio of 20 securities. **Invesco Adds Equal-Weight Sector ETF**  
 Invesco launched an equal-weighted version of the new communication services sector in the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). The [Invesco S&amp;P 500 Equal Weight Communication Services ETF (EWCO)](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1209466/000119312518318195/d639870d497.htm) targets the new sector and joins 10 other similar Invesco ETFs that target different sectors. **First Trust Launches Muni Funds**  
 First Trust rolled out two actively managed municipal bond ETFs targeting securities with shorter durations. The [First Trust Short Duration Managed Municipal ETF (FSMB)](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1424212/000144554618004818/etf3_fsmb485b.htm) and the [First Trust Ultra Short Duration Municipal ETF (FUMB)](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1424212/000144554618004816/etf3_fumb485b.htm) could appeal to investors in a time of rising rates, since bonds with shorter durations are less affected by changes in interest rates. FSMB comes with an expense ratio of 0.45%, while FUMB charges 0.35%.
