The [SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY)](https://www.etf.com/SPY) had inflows of $5.8 billion during the week ending Thursday, July 27, according to the latest data from FactSet. SPY's inflows played a large part in fueling the week's total ETF inflows of $6.5 billion and pushing year-to-date inflows to $272.5 billion. It was also the reason U.S. equity ETFs as a whole managed to see net weekly inflows of almost $4 billion. Meanwhile, every other major ETF segment also saw net inflows during the period, with the exception of commodities, which lost $900 million. International equity ETFs pulled in $2 billion; U.S. fixed-income ETFs took in nearly $1 billion; and international fixed-income ETFs garnered about $380 million. During the week, the S&P 500 hit a fresh record high of 2,484, thanks to strong corporate earnings reports. At the same time, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield climbed from 2.22% to 2.29%, as the Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged. **'IVV' Still Outpacing 'SPY' In 2017** Though SPY's weekly inflows were sizable, the ETF still has net outflows in the year-to-date period, to the tune of $6.2 billion. That's in contrast to the [iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV)](https://www.etf.com/IVV), which pulled in almost $400 million during the week, and which has year-to-date inflows of $20.6 billion. Three other noteworthy ETFs on the inflows list include the [SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP)](https://www.etf.com/XOP), the [Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF)](https://www.etf.com/XLF) and the [VanEck Vectors J.P. Morgan EM Local Currency Bond ETF (EMLC)](https://www.etf.com/EMLC), each with inflows of just over $200 million. On the outflows side, noteworthy losers include the [iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT)](https://www.etf.com/TLT), with redemptions of $1 billion; the [SPDR Gold Trust (GLD)](https://www.etf.com/GLD), with redemptions of $830 million; the [Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE)](https://www.etf.com/XLE), with redemptions of $530 million; and the [VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX)](https://www.etf.com/GDX), with redemptions of $340 million.
