SPY Sheds a Quick Billion as Selloff Gains Steam
The Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) posted $497.9 million of inflows. Here are the daily ETF fund flows for March 10, 2025.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) experienced outflows of $1 billion as markets resumed their selloff, according to etf.com daily fund flows data. Major indexes posted their worst week since September amid escalating trade tensions.
The iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) pulled in $1 billion in fresh assets, a 2% increase to its $50.7 billion assets under management. The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) attracted $823.9 million despite SPY's redemptions, while the iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF (IWF) gained $584.8 million.
On the outflows side, The iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) saw redemptions of $491.6 million, representing a 3.2% decrease in its assets. The Vanguard Russell 1000 Growth ETF (VONG) lost $451.5 million.
Exchange-traded funds recorded total net inflows of $4 billion for the day, with U.S. fixed-income funds pulling in $1.6 billion and U.S. equity funds adding $1 billion. Leveraged ETFs saw inflows of $800.7 million as traders positioned for continued volatility following the Nasdaq's correction and a weak jobs report.
