The weather last week was slightly warmer than seasonal norms.
The Edison Electric Institute said that utilities generated 74,913 GWh in the week ending May 25, 4 percent below the same week a year ago.
Looking forward, the NOAA’s 6- to 10-day outlook calls for warmer-than-normal temperatures across the Midwest, Northeast and West Coast. However, the important Southern region is expected to see normal to cooler-than-normal temperatures in the period.
