Rydex builds on RSP's success with 6 new equal-weight ETFs focused on U.S. and international equities.
Rydex, the exchange-traded fund firm known for its equal-weight S&P 500 ETF and its CurrencyShares lineup of funds, launched six new equal-weight equity ETFs based on Russell and MSCI indexes. The new ETFs are focused on U.S. and international companies, including the emerging markets.
The addition of the six ETFs brings the number of Rydex equal-weight ETFs to 16, and its complete lineup of exchange-traded products to 34 funds, with assets over $6 billion.
The newly launched ETFs and their ticker symbols are:
- Rydex Russell 1000 Equal Weight ETF (NYSEArca: EWRI)
- Rydex Russell 2000 Equal Weight ETF (NYSEArca: EWRS)
- Rydex Russell Midcap Equal Weight ETF (NYSEArca: EWRM)
- Rydex MSCI EAFE Equal Weight ETF (NYSEArca: EWEF)
- Rydex MSCI Emerging Markets Equal Weight ETF (NYSEArca: EWEM)
The company also said it is likely to roll out its Rydex MSCI All Country World (ACWI) Equal Weight ETF (NYSEArca: EWAC) on Jan. 12 of next year.
Its flagship S&P 500 fund, the Rydex S&P Equal Weight ETF (NYSEArca: RSP), has $2.66 billion in assets, according to data compiled by IndexUniverse.com.
