ETF.com, a leading source for data and analysis of the exchange-traded fund industry, has announced Sean Allocca as the company’s new editor-in-chief.

In the role, Allocca will oversee content strategy and direction with the long-term goals of developing new properties and content opportunities to help strengthen ETF.com reputation as a trusted source for the ETF industry. As a premier digital destination for news, data and analysis, ETF.com is now used by hundreds of thousands of global retail investors and financial advisors monthly.

“Sean is the right person to lead ETF.com's content strategy toward a successful future,” said Mike Morelli, CEO of ETF.com. “The team is excited to have someone of his experience and expertise join our team.”

Allocca joins ETF.com from InvestmentNews, the leading publication covering the wealth management industry, where he served as deputy managing editor and spearheaded the company's fintech and cryptocurrency coverage. During his time at InvestmentNews, he launched the Fintech for Advisers media brand, including developing and launching its websites, podcast, columns and annual conferences.

“It’s an exciting time for the ETF industry, which has experienced monumental growth in recent years and now faces new opportunities and new challenges,” Allocca said. “I’m thrilled to help ETF.com expand its position as a leading voice in the industry and provide our readers with the information they need to make better investment decisions.”

Prior to joining InvestmentNews, Allocca worked as an editor for the wealth management publication Financial Planning, and as online editor of CFO magazine, covering the corporate finance sector.

“Our coverage is laser focused on timely reporting from our journalists and in-depth insights from analysts to get readers important data and analysis,” Allocca said.

He received an M.A. in public communication from Fordham University and a B.A. in writing from Loyola University Maryland.
