GOP Factset Analytics Insight

This fund is being liquidated, the last day of trading is April 24, 2018. The fund's investment objectives will be incorporated into a new ETF titled, EventShares U.S. Policy Alpha ETF (ticker: PLCY). GOP is an actively managed fund that takes positions in companies the manager determines to be affected by Republican policies, including short positions in companies expected to be negatively affected. In the context of this fund, Republican policies are “the beliefs, party platforms, and executive and legislative priorities of the Republican party”. Themes include financial deregulation, increased aerospace and defense spending, decreased US corporate taxes, and stronger immigration enforcement. While GOP will be exposed primarily to US equities, it is worth noting that it may also invest in fixed income securities, derivatives, currencies, commodities, and non-US equities. Even in light of this potentially broad reach, the fund is richly priced.
