AGQProShares Ultra Silver
AGQ Fund Description
AGQ provides 2x the daily performance of silver bullion as measured by the fixing price, in US Dollars, for delivery in London.
AGQ Factset Analytics Insight
AGQ is a 2x leveraged single-day bet on the spot price of silver, not a buy-and-hold ETF. Instead of utilizing swaps like most geared funds, AGQ invests in silver futures and forward contracts—this also means the fund is structured as a commodities pool, so it will distribute a K-1 form. As a trading product, AGQ does well: volume is strong, and spreads are modest, especially considering the volatile underlying market. AGQ has built up plenty of assets, despite its high expense ratio. Then again, the holding cost is less important, considering the fund is designed to be held for very short periods.
