ECNS Factset Analytics Insight
ECNS is a pure play on Chinese small-caps, holding hundreds of cap-weighted small- and micro-cap companies. The fund holds shares traded in Hong Kong, B-shares traded in Shanghai or Shenzhen and N-Shares traded in New York but excludes A-shares. While ECNS tracks an MSCI index, it's not a good Fit with our 'all-share' benchmark. ECNS charges a competitive fee, but it hasn't attracted meaningful assets since its launch in September 2010. Investors should also be cautious trading ECNS—it trades at fairly wide spreads.
