FENY Factset Analytics Insight

FENY is part of a fund suite that marks Fidelity's official entry into the US sector ETF market. In an effort to attract investor interest and assets, FENY sports one of the lowest price tags in the segment, and offers one of the broadest portfolios available in the US energy segment. Broad is relative, of course: the energy sector is incredibly top-heavy and FENY still has well over half of its portfolio weight in its top ten holdings, and a huge chunk of that is allocated to Exxon and Chevron. Overall its portfolio looks pretty market-like, with big allocations to every aspect of the oil and gas industries, and very little dedicated to coal and renewables. The fund is popular enough with traders that it sees substantial volume each day with tiny spreads. With its liquid underlying basket, creation and redemption should be easy for larger investors to trade as well. In terms of Efficiency, FENY is an easy winner, with a rock-bottom fee and excellent tracking.
