FLM Factset Analytics Insight
FLM is one of the few funds that hold a concentrated portfolio of global companies in the construction and engineering industry. Eligible firms involved those that are engaged in civil and capital projects such as engineering, designing, planning, consulting, project managing and/or constructing of infrastructure, utilities, transportation, commercial, residential, and commerce facilities projects. In addition to this industry screen, companies must also meet size and liquidity measures for inclusion in the fund. Holdings are then weighted using a linear-based capitalization-weighted scheme based on their market-cap and liquidity ranks within the index. The index is rebalanced semi-annually. Prior to December 14, 2016, the fund was called First Trust ISE Global Engineering & Construction Index Fund.
