FLRT is an actively managed fund targeting floating-rate debt from non-investment-grade issuers.
FLRT Factset Analytics Insight
FLRT aims to provide high income from its portfolio of floating-rate securities. The managers of the fund use a proprietary investment process to protect against the potential downside of investing in the low end of the credit spectrum. The process starts with a top-down macro assessment to decide on the appropriate level of risk according to market conditions. The investment team then performs a bottom-up credit analysis to select individual securities within the defined investment universe. The focus is on the largest/most liquid issues in the space and those that offer the best relative value. On Dec. 27, 2019, the fund was reorganized and became successor to AdvisorShares Pacific Asset Enhanced Floating Rate ETF. On Oct. 22, 2021, the fund became successor to the Pacific Global Senior Loan ETF. Due to the reorganization, the fund included other adjustable rate securities such as CLOs, ABS, and CMBS in its investible securities.
