FXO
First Trust Financials AlphaDEX FundFXO Fund Description
FXO seeks to outperform the US financials sector by tracking a proprietary index of stocks selected from the Russell 1000 Financial Services Index.
FXO Factset Analytics Insight
FXO attempts to beat the US financials market, though its results may not be consistent. It applies a quant model to the financials universe in hopes of picking winners by determining the degree to which firms outperform or underperform on a risk-adjusted basis relative to the index benchmark, then equal-weighting them in tiers. This method leads FXO to a perpetual mid-cap bias, and tilts it to different sectors than you'd see in our benchmark, including non-financials. Its exposure is, by design, not very market-like. FXO is highly Tradable, with stronger underlying liquidity. However, it's an expensive fund to hold, with some of the highest fees in its segment and a median performance difference that significantly higher than its expense ratio.
