ESCR tracks an index of US investment-grade corporate bonds that are screened for ESG aspects.
ESCR Factset Analytics Insight
ESCR provides exposure to investment-grade, US-dollar-denominated corporate bonds screened for ESG criteria defined by MSCI. The Parent Index includes investment-grade securities from industrial, utility and financial institutions issuers only. The securities are then screened for those with high ESG scores and excludes those with controversies regarding negative ESG impact of a company’s operations, products or services. The remaining companies are included in the underlying index and reweighted to match the same sector, maturity and rating exposure. The index is rebalanced monthly. In all, ESCR provides the credit risk and return of investment-grade corporate bonds while aiming to screen for ESG characteristics. Prior to May 12, 2020 the fund name was Xtrackers Investment Grade Bond — Interest rate Hedged ETF, used ticker (IGIH) and tracked the Solactive Investment Grade Corporate Bond- Interest Rate Hedged Index.

The MSCI ESG Fund Rating measures the resiliency of portfolios to long-term risks and opportunities arising from environmental, social, and governance factors. ESG Fund Ratings range from best (AAA) to worst (CCC). Highly rated funds consist of companies that tend to show strong and/or improving management of financially relevant environmental, social and governance issues. These companies may be more resilient to disruptions arising from ESG events.
The fund’s Peer Rank reflects the ranking of a fund’s MSCI ESG Fund Quality Score against the scores of other funds within the same peer group, as defined by the Thomson Reuters Lipper Global Classification. Xtrackers Bloomberg Barclays US Investment Grade Corporate ESG ETF ranks in the 83th percentile within its peer group and in the 94th percentile within the global universe of all funds covered by MSCI ESG Fund Ratings.
