IXSE WisdomTree India ex-State-Owned Enterprises Fund
What is IXSE?
IXSE tracks a market-cap-weighted index of non-state-owned Indian equities.
IXSE Factset Analytics Insight
IXSE is designed around the premise that private corporations outperform firms controlled by governments. The fund aims to provide broad exposure to Indian companies, excluding state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that tend to dominate the telecommunications and transportation sectors. The fund defines an SOE as one with more than 20% government ownership. In addition, IXSE uses certain environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria to filter securities. Holdings are market-cap-weighted with single security and sector weight caps at 10% and 30%, respectively. Although, the resulting portfolio may have some sector biases, loose guardrails prevent extreme departures from market-like exposure to any sector. The index is reconstituted and rebalanced annually.
