PBS Fund Description

PBS tracks an index of US media industry stocks. The index uses multi-factor selection and tiered, equal weighting.

PBS Factset Analytics Insight

PBS is the first to offer exposure to media stocks in an ETF, and it's not pure play. Instead of delivering cap-weighted, market-like exposure to media and publishing firms, PBS selects stocks using multi-factor screens to form a concentrated portfolio of 30 constituents. Specifically, the selection is based on five factors: price momentum, earnings momentum, quality, management action, and value. PBS defines the industry broadly enough to include IT, software, retail and other stocks that may not be included in other media funds. The index’s tier weighting reduces concentrations in mega-caps and evenly weights the group of companies across size. The fund and the index are rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly in February, May, August and November.
