SCHA Fund Description

SCHA tracks a market-cap-weighted index of US stocks ranked 751-2,500 by market cap.

SCHA Factset Analytics Insight

The Schwab US Small Cap ETF is one of the strongest offerings in the segment. The fund provides access to 1,700+ small-caps stocks for an ultra-low fee. Unlike some of the alpha-seeking funds in the segment, SCHA tracks a simple, market-weighted Dow Jones index intended to provide beta exposure to the market. This strategy has paid off for Schwab: SCHA has attracted deep liquidity and healthy assets, which in turns makes it still more appealing to investors. SCHA offers small-cap exposure that's arguably better than our benchmark's, delivering a lower average market cap with fewer midcaps in the mix. With solid exposure and low all-in costs, SCHA delivers the goods.
