SKF Fund Description

SKF provides 2x inverse exposure to a market-cap-weighted index of US financial services companies.

SKF Factset Analytics Insight

SKF provides -2x exposure to the Dow Jones US Financials Index—a market-cap-weighted index of US financial firms as classified by Dow Jones. As you'd expect, that makes SKF a bet against some of the giants of US banking, insurance, real estate, and investment: Berkshire Hathaway, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America, among others. SKF isn't designed to be a long-term investment product because of its daily rebalance. As a result, compounding and path dependency lead to a lack of predictability in the fund's long-term returns—especially when compared with its beta cousin, IYF. SKF gets the added exposure by using derivatives and money market instrument.
