SPFF Fund Description

SPFF tracks a market-cap weighted index of 50 of the highest-yielding preferred securities that are traded in the US and Canada. Index members also must meet minimum liquidity and size criteria.

SPFF Factset Analytics Insight

SPFF targets only the highest-yielding preferred stocks issued in North America, and has attracted a viable asset base despite a lack of significant differentiation, elevated costs of ownership, and weak underlying liquidity. The fund targets the 50 highest-yielding preferred securities issued in the US and Canada, meaning that big banks and financial institutions dominate its holdings. However, it looks a lot like other US funds in this space. SPFF enjoys decent liquidity and manageable spreads, but as you'd expect, its underlying assets pose a major hurdle to block execution. SPFF charges a reasonable fee and tends to track its index well.

SPFF MSCI ESG Analytics Insight

Global X SuperIncome Preferred ETF has an MSCI ESG Fund Rating of BBB based on a score of 4.70 out of 10. These companies may be more resilient to disruptions arising from ESG events.

Global X SuperIncome Preferred ETF ranks in the 34th percentile within its peer group and in the 38th percentile within the global universe of all funds covered by MSCI ESG Fund Ratings.
