Invesco S&P 500 Enhanced Value ETFSPVU Fund Description
SPVU tracks an index of 100 S&P 500 components with the strongest value metrics.
SPVU Factset Analytics Insight
SPVU provides an aggressive value take on the S&P 500. It holds 100 securities from the S&P 500 that have the highest value scores, a calculation based on book-to-price ratio, earnings-to-price ratio, and sales-to-price ratio. Selected stocks are weighted by their value scores, scaled by market capitalization. The resulting portfolio exhibits major sector biases, and tends to tilt toward smaller firms, even compared to our large-cap/value benchmark. SPVU’s top quintile approach is almost guaranteed to make bold bets since it excludes stocks near the middle of the style spectrum, unlike broader value-oriented ETFs like SPYV. The fund charges a reasonable fee, but faces stiff competition from cheaper, better-established value funds. Watch out for weak liquidity—careful limit orders are a must.
