SUBSFount Subscription Economy ETF
SUBS Fund Description
SUBS tracks a modified market-cap-weighted index of global companies that provide products and/or services for recurring subscription revenue.
SUBS Factset Analytics Insight
SUBS targets global companies that offer subscription-related services. The index provider initially identifies industries that are likely to provide subscriptions—followed by a proprietary artificial intelligence algorithm which determines subscription companies using keywords from publicly available information. Each eligible firm’s one-year forecasted revenue is then reviewed to limit the fund’s exposure to companies that are expected to derive more than 50% of their revenue from subscriptions. The fund’s concentrated portfolio consists of the top 50 securities selected by market-cap. Holdings are weighted based on a modified market-cap scheme that factors in each sector’s forecasted subscription revenue. Individual security weights are capped at 4% and the aggregate weight of securities with more than 5% allocation is capped at 40% weight of the portfolio. The index is rebalanced annually.
