SUSL Fund Description

SUSL tracks an index of U.S. large- and midcap firms with high ESG ratings. Stocks are cap-weighted within sector buckets which in turn reflect the sector weights of the parent index.

SUSL Factset Analytics Insight

SUSL offers exposure to large- and midcap U.S. firms with favorable ESG traits relative to their sectors. Its underlying index starts with the MSCI USA Index (the parent), then removes firms involved with tobacco, alcohol, gambling, nuclear power, certain weapons, and producers and major retailers of firearms. (Exclusion of firearm firms is what makes this the "Extended" version of the MSCI ESG Leaders Index). The index also excludes companies involved in major controversies. Firms passing this screen are rated on 37 ESG factors with adjustments for sector and cap weight. The fund removes firms with lower rankings. Remaining firms are ranked by the ESG score, and are then selected by rank to fill each sector to about 50% of the parent sector weight. Beyond the sector alignment, SUSL does not attempt to emulate the risk and return of the parent Index.
