TUSAFirst Trust Total US Market AlphaDEX ETF
TUSA Fund Description
TUSA tracks an index of US large-, mid- and small-cap stocks selected by value and growth factors and weighted in tiers.
TUSA Factset Analytics Insight
TUSA does not aim to provide investors with neutral exposure to the US equity market, and opts for a more unique approach to constructing its portfolio. This fund tracks an underlying index that selects constituents from three indices with varying market caps. Eligible securities are ranked separately within each class (small-, mid, and large-cap stocks) on the sum of ranks for both growth and value factors. With this, they are either classified as growth or value, and given a score based on the growth and value factors. The top 200, 400, 600 stocks from the large-, mid, and small-cap indices comprise the “selected stocks”, respectively. The selected stocks are divided into quintiles within their size class based on their rankings and the top ranked quintiles receive a higher weight within each sub-portfolio size class. Within each sub-portfolio, stocks are equally weighted. TUSA changed from a Value Line index to an AlphaDEX index on January 9, 2015.
