USMC Fund Description

USMC offers exposure to the largest of the US large-cap segment, weighted by a combination of market cap and technical measures.

USMC Factset Analytics Insight

USMC targets the largest companies in the US with a uniquely tiered index construction. Starting with a universe of the 500 largest US companies, the fund selects the top 50% by cumulative market capitalization. Firms in the top 10% are weighted according to market-cap. The remaining names are weighted equally with volatility adjustments, resulting in higher weight to less volatile securities. Overall, the portfolio aims for a low volatility tilt. Index constituents are rebalanced semi-annually. Prior to Sep. 30, 2020, the fund name was Principal U.S. Mega-Cap Multi-Factor Index ETF.

Principal U.S. Mega-Cap ETF has an MSCI ESG Fund Rating of BBB based on a score of 4.85 out of 10. The MSCI ESG Fund Rating measures the resiliency of portfolios to long-term risks and opportunities arising from environmental, social, and governance factors. ESG Fund Ratings range from best (AAA) to worst (CCC). Highly rated funds consist of companies that tend to show strong and/or improving management of financially relevant environmental, social and governance issues. These companies may be more resilient to disruptions arising from ESG events.

The fund’s Peer Rank reflects the ranking of a fund’s MSCI ESG Fund Quality Score against the scores of other funds within the same peer group, as defined by the Thomson Reuters Lipper Global Classification. Principal U.S. Mega-Cap ETF ranks in the 25th percentile within its peer group and in the 6th percentile within the global universe of all funds covered by MSCI ESG Fund Ratings.

MSCI FaCS is a standard method for evaluating and reporting the Factor characteristics of equity portfolios including ETFs.
