VBK Vanguard Small-Cap Growth ETF
What is VBK?
VBK tracks an index that selects and weights growth stocks using multiple factors from US securities ranked between the 85th and 98th percentile by market cap.
VBK Factset Analytics Insight
VBK is a great choice for investors looking for solid exposure to the US small-cap growth market. The fund switched from an MSCI index to a CRSP index in April 2013, but the portfolio still closely resembles our MSCI benchmark, with few sector biases and similar performance. CRSP classifies growth securities using fundamental factors such as: 3-year historical growth in EPS, growth in sales per share, current investment-to-assets ratio, and return on assets. Vanguard attempts to fully replicate the index, holding each stock in approximately the same proportion as its weighting in the index. The fund delivers good coverage of its target market. VBK offers solid coverage in an efficient, liquid wrapper.
