VIS Fund Description

VIS tracks a broad, market-cap-weighted index of US industrial stocks.

VIS Factset Analytics Insight

VIS provides one of the most comprehensive portfolios of industrials companies with market-cap-weighted holdings that reach all the way down to micro-caps. It has a few minor sector tilts but overall it provides excellent, comprehensive exposure to industrials companies, and is highly representative of its sector. It's easy to trade, and block-trading shouldn't cause any problems given VIS' highly-liquid underlying securities. It's also one of the cheapest and most Efficient funds in its segment, and Vanguard's slightly opaque practice of offering reports on a monthly, not daily, basis is not enough of a blemish to keep VIS from being an Analyst Pick.

VIS MSCI ESG Analytics Insight

Vanguard Industrials ETF has an MSCI ESG Fund Rating of BBB based on a score of 5.61 out of 10. The MSCI ESG Fund Rating measures the resiliency of portfolios to long-term risks and opportunities arising from environmental, social, and governance factors. ESG Fund Ratings range from best (AAA) to worst (CCC). Highly rated funds consist of companies that tend to show strong and/or improving management of financially relevant environmental, social and governance issues. These companies may be more resilient to disruptions arising from ESG events.

The fund’s Peer Rank reflects the ranking of a fund’s MSCI ESG Fund Quality Score against the scores of other funds within the same peer group, as defined by the Thomson Reuters Lipper Global Classification. Vanguard Industrials ETF ranks in the 56th percentile within its peer group and in the 53th percentile within the global universe of all funds covered by MSCI ESG Fund Ratings.
