Bitcoin and ether are the world’s two most valuable cryptocurrencies. While both tend to move in the same direction on a day-to-day basis, over longer time periods, returns can vary significantly. The BTC/ETH ratio is a good illustration of the relative performance of the two tokens.
From a high of more than 600 in 2015, the ratio fell to a low of 6.8 in 2017. It currently stands at 15.7, near the lowest levels in three years. Historically, ether has outperformed during bullish periods in the cryptomarket.
