BIL Gains $874 Million in AUM as Markets Steady

The SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL) pulled in $874.4 million, increasing its assets by 1.8% to $48.5 billion, according to etf.com daily fund flows data. The inflow came as markets stabilized Tuesday, with the S&P 500 declining just 0.2% after the extreme volatility of previous trading sessions.
The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) attracted $785.2 million as bank stocks provided upward momentum, with Bank of America Corp. (BAC) and Citigroup Inc. (C) gaining 3.6% and 1.8%, respectively, after strong earnings reports. The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) gained $609.4 million, while the BondBloxx Bloomberg Five Year Target Duration US Treasury ETF (XFIV) saw inflows of $570.7 million.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) experienced the largest outflows at $2.2 billion. The Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) saw $1.2 billion exit, while the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) lost $1.2 billion in assets. The ProShares UltraPro S&P500 (UPRO) saw outflows of $410.7 million.
U.S. equity ETFs saw $5.2 billion in outflows despite the relatively calm trading day. Fixed-income ETFs gained $768.5 million, while international equity funds added $723.3 million. Overall, ETFs experienced net outflows of $4.1 billion across all categories.
