The ETF market saw notable flows activity on Friday, March 14. Investors continued to adjust their positions amid ongoing market volatility, favoring certain asset classes while pulling funds from others. On net, $2.1 billion came out of U.S.-listed ETFs.

On the inflows side, Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) led the way with $3.8 billion.

The SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) brought in $674 million, as gold remained a favored safe haven asset amid economic uncertainty.

Meanwhile, traders looking to capitalize on the tech pullback funneled $309 million into ProShares UltraPro QQQ (TQQQ). Ultra-short-term Treasury ETFs also saw demand, with the SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL) absorbing $316 million in assets.

On the outflow side, iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) experienced the largest withdrawals, shedding $4.8 billion, likely due to tax-related trades. Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) saw $2 billion in outflows, signaling some profit-taking or shifting sentiment in the tech-heavy Nasdaq.

Some U.S. Treasury ETFs also saw sizable redemptions, including the iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF (GOVT), which lost $926 million and the Schwab Short-Term U.S. Treasury ETF (SCHO), which lost $730 million.
