IVV Gains $1.5 Billion in Face of Market's Sharp Decline

The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) pulled in $1.5 billion in fresh assets amid continued market volatility driven by trade policy concerns, according to etf.com daily fund flows data. Investors favored core equity exchange-traded funds despite the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 478 points Tuesday.
The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) attracted $1.3 billion, while the ProShares UltraPro QQQ (TQQQ) gained $759 million despite the S&P 500 touching correction territory during Tuesday's session.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) saw outflows of $1.6 billion amid President Donald Trump's comment that "Markets are going to go up and they're going to go down" as he focuses on rebuilding the country. The SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) shed $243 million.
ETFs recorded total net inflows of $4.3 billion for the day, with U.S. equity funds adding $1.4 billion despite market turbulence. Leveraged ETFs attracted $978 million in new assets as traders positioned for potential swings following Trump's back-and-forth statements on Canadian tariffs and ahead of Wednesday's CPI report.
