SBIL Adds $675M in Assets as Powell Rumors Swirl

- SBIL led ETF inflows as President Trump denied he's looking at firing the Fed chair.
- IVV and SECT gained, while IWM and VCIT saw outflows.

The Simplify Government Money Market ETF (SBIL) pulled in $675.1 million Wednesday, bringing its assets under management to $678.1 million, according to data provided by FactSet. The inflows came as the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 0.5% and the S&P 500 gained 0.3% amid volatile trading that followed reports, which were later denied, that President Donald Trump might fire Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) attracted $625.3 million, while the Main Sector Rotation ETF (SECT) collected $506.6 million. The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) gained $416.4 million, and the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) pulled in $354.9 million.

The iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) saw outflows of $755.1 million, while the Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corporate Bond ETF (VCIT) lost $605.1 million. The Vanguard Small-Cap ETF (VB) experienced outflows of $567.3 million.

U.S. equity ETFs attracted $848.3 million for the day, while U.S. fixed-income ETFs gained just over $386 million. Commodities ETFs pulled in $455.4 million. Overall, ETFs collected $2.7 billion for the day as the Nasdaq Composite posted its ninth record close of the year.
