VOO Attracts $14 Billion as S&P 500 Posts Back-to-Back Gains

The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) pulled in $14 billion on Monday, according to etf.com daily fund flows data, as markets extended their rebound from recent correction lows. The massive inflow came along with a gain of 0.6% for the S&P 500, marking its second consecutive day of gains.

The iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) collected $841.4 million, while the Xtrackers USD High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYLB) gained $490.3 million. The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) attracted $400.7 million.

On the outflows side, the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) experienced the largest redemptions at $15.2 billion despite the market recovery. Treasury ETFs also saw outflows, with the iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF (GOVT) losing $622.3 million and Vanguard's Intermediate-Term Treasury ETF (VGIT) shedding $614.3 million.

U.S. equity ETFs led asset classes with $1.9 billion in inflows, while commodities funds gained $760.5 million. Currency ETFs saw outflows of $223.7 million amid ongoing trade tensions.

Overall industry flows totaled $2.2 billion as investors cautiously returned to the market following Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's comments that corrections are "healthy" for markets.
